Graffiti Knitting at the #BCBS12
Jun 12
I’ve long admired the prowess of one deadly knitshade and as last Saturday was International Yarnbombing day, I decided to try my hand at some myself. As you know I was also at the BarCamp Bodensee. In combination these two made a graffiti knitting session there.
The location was the rather sterile seeming main building of the Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen. After talking about graffiti knitting for a bit I busted out the supplies and we made some pieces. My most enthusiastic helpers were Susanne and Klara (see also the picture above). We used i-cords from an i-cord machine and wire inside to form shapes and then apply them to the logo on the outside of the building.
I really enjoyed it and the handmade contrasted really well with the rather industrial chic of the place. Thank you everyone who participated.
